Syndopa 250mg/25mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Syndopa 250mg/25mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Partial to complete suppression of lactation was seen in mothers on the treatment with Syndopa 250mg/25mg Tablet, but when the treatment was stopped, lactation returned to normal levels.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.As Syndopa 250mg/25mg Tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, double vision, which may affect your ability to react which may affect your ability to drive.
Syndopa 250mg/25mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Syndopa 250mg/25mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Levodopa is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
How to use Levodopa
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Syndopa 250mg/25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Avoid Syndopa 250mg/25mg Tablet with high protein meals such as cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, protein powder, eggs and milk.

Levodopa works by being converted to dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control the movement through transmission of signals in the brain.
Common Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Loss of appetite, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Movement disorder.
Expert advice for Levodopa
If you are taking carbidopa with levodopa, do not take iron salts (eg, ferrous sulfate), within 2 hours before or a diet that is high in protein.
Avoid vitamin products that contain vitamin B6 (pyridoxine). This vitamin may reduce the effectiveness of levodopa.
Do not use levodopa, if you are allergic to levodopa or any other ingredient.
Do not use levodopa, if you have narrow-angle glaucoma; if you are suffering from malignant melanoma (a type of cancer); skin cancer or you have any unusual moles; severe mental disorder.
Do not take levodopa, if you have a history of fits (convulsions); heart problems or blood pressure problems; asthma or other lung problems; liver or kidney problems; blood or hormone (endocrine) problems; depression or any other psychiatric disorder; ulcer in your gut or have vomited blood or stomach or intestinal bleeding.
If you are undergoing any tests for urine glucose or urine ketones, levodopa may cause the results of some tests to be wrong.

Take carbidopa with food along with levodopa.Do not take iron salts (eg. ferrous sulfate), within 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking carbidopa.If you have been taking levodopa alone, do not start taking carbidopa until at least 12 hours after your final dose of levodopa.Do not use carbidopa if you are allergic to carbidopa or any other ingredient.Do not use carbidopa if you have narrow-angle glaucoma.Avoid using carbidopa in pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breast-feeding.Do not take carbidopa, if you have undiagnosed skin growths, skin cancer, or a history of skin cancer; heart problems; ulcers; seizures ; blood pressure problems; asthma or lung problems; liver or kidney problems; blood or hormone problems.Avoid taking carbidopa if you suffer from mental or mood problems, or suicidal thoughts or attempts.Take precaution if you have a diet that is high in protein as it may decrease your body's ability to absorb carbidopa.Take precaution if you are undergoing any tests for urine glucose or urine ketones, carbidopa may cause the results of some tests to be wrong.Consult your doctor if you have increased sexual urges, unusual urges to gamble, or other intense urges while taking this medicine.In some cases after using carbidopa sweat, urine, or saliva appears dark in color, such as red, brown, or black.
